Tested not to impress, but to be forgotten.
The best luggage doesn't ask for your attention. It earns the right to be forgotten.
Tumble Test
The luggage is first stored in the freezer at -12°C (-12 minus degree celsius) for 4 hours before testing. Then it is loaded with 15 kg (for Carry-Ons) or 20 kg (for Check-Ins) and placed inside a rotating chamber with obstacles for 50 times at a speed of 3 times/min.
Drop Test
The luggage is first stored in the freezer at -12°C (-12 minus degree celsius) for 4 hours before testing. Then it is loaded with 15 kg (for Carry-Ons) or 20 kg (for Check-Ins), dropped from a height of 90/60/60 cm and landed with 4/2/1 wheels respectively.
Treadmill Test
The luggage is loaded with 15 kg (for Carry-Ons) or 20 kg (for Check-Ins) and with an additional 7 kg of weight on the telescopic handle.
It is then rolled on 2 rear wheels and 4 wheels respectively both at a speed of 4km/hr for 4 hours on a specialized treadmill with bumps(the treadmill paused for 10 minutes for every 4 km). This test is run for the equivalent of 32 km.
Handle Jerk Test
The luggage is loaded with 15 kg (for Carry-Ons) or 20 kg (for Check-Ins), and hanged in the air by the top, side, and front handles. It is then lifted, dropped, and suddenly stopped by the top, side, and front handles after freefalling a specified distance. This cycle is repeated 3500 times.
Telescopic Handle Jerk Test
The luggage is loaded with 15 kg (for Carry-Ons) or 20 kg (for Check-Ins), and held by the fully extended telescopic handle. It is then lifted and dropped within a specified vertical range. This cycle is repeated 3,500 times.
Telescopic Handle Cycling Test
The telescopic handle is clamped by a mechanical gripper at the lower telescopic handle grip, with a pressing head aligned with the release button.
The release button is pressed during upward movement and released at each locking stage. At the top locking stage, the button is pressed again, then the handle is fully retracted to the bottom. This cycle is repeated 5,000 times.
